With all the shovel-ware that is on the Wii, you would think any game from a top level developer would be a welcome change...
Review scores are not. Sorry, but listing pros and cons is sufficient for anybody and only those looking for the quick fix scroll down to the end of the page for the numerical or letter score. Problem is there are too many people out there that would rather see the number score rather than spend the minute it takes to read the review. Sadly, in some cases the written review is poorly authored and shares no relevance as well but for the most part, the best reviews are those that refrain from g...
Qore is definitely on my list of items to buy and so are the two new arcade titles. Great deal this week!
Great update this will be.
When an RTS gets canned. They are great for PC's, not so great for consoles.
A single 90 minute cut scene seems a bit on the exaggeration side and even if it were in there, it would not have bothered me but I have a feeling that this is more in line of 90 minutes total of cut scene time. Either way, we win. It is going to be the greatest game out this year.
Might I recommend a few other titles that will make your purchase all the more worth while.
Heavenly Sword
Ratchet & Clank: TOD
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Warhawk
GT5:P
UTIII
Couple any one of these with the purchase of MGS4 and you will have a winning bundle. Couple them all and you will become a firm believer that the PS3 is a great console.
You wait up to 3 years in some cases for games to release and your upset about having to wait another 20 minutes for a mandatory install required to play the game? Once installed, you don't have to do it again so it is one time and you're in the game. Ever play computer games?
Sorry, but the arguments against mandatory installs is stupid and is for one, not Sony's fault and two is evident of a poor developer r lazy developer that is taking advantage of the HDD that ALL PS3's h...
That the 360 had hardware issue and in some cases would die while playing games for reviews. Why is it that they neglected to put that into the reviews but find it necessary to put a note about installs into the reviews for the PS3? What would you rather have? A console that requires an install from time to time or a console that will die on you while you are in the middle of your favorite game? Sad that reviewers are now grasping at straws to dock the PS3 version of games these days. At one ...
And I am an addict. I love games but would not consider myself shy. It amazes me that even today there are negative tones surrounding the gamers and their life styles. Gaming today is about as popular IMHO as movie going. It's entertainment, nothing more, nothing less.
Today it's a solid 10. It's all in what you want and since I play very little online, the PS3 hits every gaming aspect and then some for me. Best parts about the PS3? It's reliable, has great games, and it's HD media playback rocks.
Come on, with a few decent titles under their belt, they feel they have any right to tell Sony what to do? They have a barrage of titles that have lacked development goodness and yet they feel they have a say in how hardware companies run their business. Funny stuff here Ubi.
People are waiting and holding out for the bundle. I know of several that have said it. It is a slick deal if you ask me.
Each time I see a review for this game I get to foaming at the mouth for this title. I need to play it. No really, I NEED to play it.
Yeah, that's if you're stupid enough to keep all of the game data on your HDD when your done playing the game. Come on, if this is truly a big deal then some people need to grow a few extra brain cells and figure out how to install the larger HDD. Good god, what a bunch of pansies.
So what did you expect to see? Have the same top ten by a Japanese site and you can bet that the the PS controllers would win hands down.
Decent D-Pad? What a joke!
Oh well. Sorry, but I will be playing too many "good games" to care about this loss. Besides, I would only play them on the PC, even RTS's on the 360 suck IMHO.
Too bad so sad for those that waited. I have literally heard people crying for the 60gb model these days and I turn to them and give them the kindest STHU. Why? Cause they had the chance and wanted a cheaper console. You can get your cheaper console now but you won't get two consoles in one (PS2 and PS3) and you will not get card readers and the number of USB ports. I suspect that the BC is the most important and to them who want it... Hold on to your PS2.
Been there, done that. I now have a 200gb (pre-60gb) model and love it. Tons of video and music can fit but honestly, why would you cram any media on the PS3 when you can stream it all from your PC? Just use the huge HDD you install into the PS3 for game downloads and such. Anybody that cries about mandatory installs seriously needs to look into upgrading to a 200gb HDD.
So how can it be delayed? They said Summer, not late Spring...
